Chair making is the most demanding piece of furniture in woodworking and this is the focus of my work.
Producing heirloom quality sculpted rockers and chairs, inspired by Sam Maloof , that are not only furniture
but more specifically a functional piece of art, is my goal. My workshop is located in the foothills of the Rockies,

south west of High River, Alberta.
I hand select the wood from a variety of hardwoods, including walnut, maple, cherry and
mahogany. I pay careful attention to grain and color to bring out the natural beauty
of the wood. So what was 'Once a Tree' has become a piece of art.
